The Energy Efficiency Rating can be increased by making energy saving improvements to the building. The EPC will give the building an asset rating from A to G. An A asset rating shows it is very efficient, meaning lower fuel bills. G asset rating shows that the building is inefficient, meaning higher fuel bills.

The completed property-specific EPC will show “current” and “potential” ratings for both Energy Efficiency and Environmental Impact.

The completed EPC will also give some advice on things that the property owner can do to improve the Energy Efficiency and Environmental Impact.
