Lymington Fields School
Lymington Fields is a new 10,000 square metre combined Primary and Secondary School on an urban regeneration development site.
The development is a new “L” shaped building, comprising of a 2-storey Primary School and a 3-storey Secondary School with shared kitchen and assembly / dining hall facilities, as well as a new sports hall.
Our Role

Graveney School
The development of a Stage 3 MEP Service Design for letting as a Design and Build Contract, for this new 3 storey timber structure building, accommodating 12 classrooms and a roof mounted observatory.

Mayfield Leisure Centre
A new Community Leisure Facility for Redbridge Council, including a public 26m, 6 lane swimming pool with spectator seating and changing village. It also comprised of a 40 station state of the art gymnasium.

Ambulance Headquarters
This project involves alterations and an extension at the South West Ambulance Service headquarters in Exeter, Devon. These works involve adapting the 2 storey USAR projection and constructing a new single storey toilet and shower block on the same footprint, converting the open 1st floor mezzanine into offices, minor amendments to rooms, movement of partitions, additional kitchen sink facilities and fitting a new steel external escape staircase from the converted Mezzanine Offices.

To undertake full design and consultancy duties from RIBA Stage 3 onwards.

Lifton Community Centre
The need for a Community Centre in Lifton had been identified since 1994 and construction began in 2017.
The Community Centre includes a multi-purpose hall that can accommodate travelling theatre companies and indoor sports, a Crèche, Meeting rooms and Community Offices.
The M&E services include LED lighting throughout with local detectors, Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP) serving Under Floor Heating (UFH), Heat Reclaim (HRU) fresh air ventilation to offices and meeting rooms and natural ventilation to the hall, with Co2 controls, Solar thermal hot water and Building Energy Management System (BEMS) incorporating weather compensation for the heating.
Our Role
EDP Environmental provided Mechanical and Electrical scheme designs for the building in order to satisfy the planning and funding conditions placed upon the project.

An imaginative conversion of a handsome former Victorian house in the heart of Exmouth in Devon. This project includes a refurbishment of the existing building to 4 dwellings and a new-build extension for a further 8 to create 12 high-specification, elegant and contemporary coastal apartments with individual style.

Barton Orchard
New development of 15 market and affordable homes on a greenfield site at Tipton St. John near Ottery St Mary in Devon. Due to being near both a Conservation Area and an AONB, sensitive internal and external lighting design with regard to “light spillage” was crucial.
Our Role
EDP provided the full M&E design including internal & external lighting design, as well as the production of a lighting report ref obtrusive light for planning. EDP were also employed to carry out the following energy services; Part L Compliance SAPs BRUKL & EPCs and Part G Compliance.

Whittington Maternity
The refit of an existing area within Whittington Hospital to provide a new maternity operating theatre. The project included provisions of a new Obstetrics operating theatre with associated baby resus areas, post natal recovery areas, and associated support spaces, providing an extension to the existing department.

Wilbury Avenue Vets
The project involves the redevelopment of the existing 3 storey boutique veterinary surgery based in Brighton and Hove. The works included a large extension to create space for two operating rooms, and extensive remodelling of the internal building arrangement.
