PLYMOUTH ARGYLE FOOTBALL CLUB

This project consisted of the redevelopment and renovation of the existing Mayflower Stand of Plymouth Argyle’s Home Park.

The renovation and extension works to the existing stand includes a 600 seat conference facility, new corporate boxes and pitch-side seating, and improvements to the existing bars.  The extension on the first floor comprises of club offices/administration spaces.

The redevelopment also includes new club shop/ticket office and newly constructed players and officials changing facilities.

STONEHOUSE

Stonehouse is an affordable and social housing development of 56 units in Plymouth built on a “brown field” site.

Our Role

EDP Environmental worked alongside the architect in creating a development that was functional but also had an aesthetic appeal. We worked in line with the client’s standard specification to design the heating systems, domestic services, ventilation, power, lighting, door entry, security and fire alarms.

We also arranged the provision of utilities to the site via the local district network operators.

STAGECOACH EXETER

New purpose built Depot and Maintenance Facility for Stagecoach Buses. The development is on a 3 acre site on an industrial estate in Exeter. Some of the site involved reclaiming part of the Park & Ride Facility car park. The building is a facility that handles the night storage, maintenance and refuelling of Stagecoach's fleet of 160 buses.

EDP Environmental worked with the main contractor, Andrew Cowie Construction, to deliver the project to Stagecoach specifications. We carried-out the detailed MEP Design and were involved in site coordination.

DUCHY NURSERY

The Duchy of Cornwall created a new customer shop and café building within their Nursery in Lostwithiel Cornwall. The heating and hot & cold water were provided by a wood pellet biomass boiler.

MOLE AVON TRADING

New purpose built retail and bulk goods facility for the Mole Valley Farmers Group. This is part of a regional chain of 55 similar outlets selling vegetables, dry goods, fresh prepared chilled food, butchery items, hardware and country store items from the shop. The warehouse part stocks and sells a wide range of bulk goods and larger items from animal feedstuff to fencing and farming hardware.

EDP Environmental produced the detailed MEP Design. This included different building services systems in the shop, the warehouse and the offices.

BARNCOOSE

Barncoose is a mixed use property development in Redruth, Cornwall which is part of a European Development Fund initiative. The project consists of four separate buildings. It was a requirement that each of the buildings be designed to and achieve a BREEAM Rating of Excellent.

Our Role

We worked very closely with the BREEAM Assessor and the Project Team to identify “realistic to achieve” Credits. EDP then carried-out the detailed MEP Design of each building in accordance with the project objectives.

EDP provided the post-construction BREEAM appraisal to the assessor and assisted with the final BREEAM Assessment. All four buildings duly achieved a rating of BREEAM Excellent.

LONDON SCHOOL FOR BOYS

The remodelling of an area within the school to provide a state of the art learning resource facility.

Our Role

EDP Environmental worked with the design team to develop the client brief and prepare the detailed design for the refurbishment of key areas of the school, including the Reception, Library and several teaching spaces to provide an enhanced learning environment. EDP worked closely with the Mechanical and Electrical contractor during the installation period to adapt the design to suit unforeseen restrictions once access was available for detailed surveys, and to assist completion within a tight timescale during the school summer holidays.
